MTTSC25

My first attempt at a Twinkling Tuesdays challenge, and thank you Jameson for the lovely storybook.

Okay, I am hoping I did not totally miss the boat on this one. But, I decided to use a paper folding technique, that reminds me of origami, combined with a heart shape, soft colors, and oriental looking flowered papers. This is how the book inspired me :)

Happy Tuesday!
Hugs,
Lisa :)

  1. hey Lisa! WOW! Congrats on your first TT post and we are so glad to have you with us! Not only did you NOT miss the boat-this is an AWESOME take on the challenge. The folding totally give that origami feeling, and that DP has a soft, pretty Asian theme as well as the colors being so similar to the book! You did an amazing job on this! Can't wait to see what you'll come up with week after week and a big welcome again! Jessica :)

  3. By the way, my 10 year old son came by the computer when I had your card up on the screen and he said, "Wow...that's a cool card!". What a compliment coming from a 10 year old BOY!

  7. Hey Lisa,

I am late at getting around but I wanted to come by and Welcome you to our team!!!! I noticed your Team list is missing about half of us. You should be able to go to any of our blogs and copy and past the list then come back to your blog go to customize at the top (it will say this after you have signed in at the very top it will say your e-mail address new post, and customize. Go to customize then add a new gadget (Text Gadget) and then paste the list of the Twinkling DT into the text box hit save and you will have all of our links.

I think that is the easiest way to get all the links that way you do not have to go out to each blog and find them!!!

Well I love your card I think the folding was amazing with the inspiration it worked perfectly!!!

You did an awesome job this week and I really look forward to getting to know you!!!

I am the Heather that e-mailed one of the welcomes with the whole team and told you great to have another SU! Demo join us. I am a Demo in Kansas!!!!

Well I hope that info helps you it can be hard figuring it all out in the beggining!!!!

I would be happy to help you with any blog questions!!!

  8. this card is beautiful. I feel a sense of deja vu though. I thought I commented here already, maybe I sent an email instead?? Anyway the gist was that I loved the iris folding and here, with the papers you used, it really does look Asian. I hope you had fun with your first challenge!! from Rebecca and Jameson
